Antipode

The "Antipode" project takes the leitmotif "will-o'-the-wisps" as a playful association and works with the following idea: What if you could fall from a place in Austria into a hole and hurtle through the earth? The "antipode" (the name for the area on the opposite side of the earth) is a point in the middle of the South Pacific. How could interactions be established? Which activities that take place at the "other point of the world" could be "re-enacted" locally and in what form? What issues affect both areas?

The project is an artistic performative participatory intervention on a mountain pasture. Different questions resulting from the theme of the antipode were worked through and transformed into specific instructions for the participants, including an "open air diving course" in the Alps.
